VPL-VW50 40" to 300" (Diagonally) SXRD™ Cineza® Projector
Do modern-day movie theaters use modern-day projectors, or do they keep it traditional?
When I say traditional, I mean something similar to this -http://www.franckh.be/Collection/Eumig/Eumig_P8m.JPG
And when I say new I mean something like this -http://www.lcd-projector-review.com/lcd-projector-reviews/sony-VPL-HS10-Cineza-lcd-projector-review.gif
And if they use newer ones, then why do the movies always seem to mess up or become out-of-focus? (Isn't that only for the old projectors?)
Thanks a lot.
I think that most modern-day theaters use the most-up-to-date-projectors that do not have to be manned. They occasionally go out of focus. I remember the OLDER types that used reels. The projectionist had to stay alert for the burn mark in the upper right-hand corner of the film that signaled when the film was about to run out. He had just enough time to put the second reel (or second half) of the film on the machine without causing an interruption.
