my sharp projector lamp is 2 months old. i forgot to reset lamp timer. do i change a new lamp again? help?
i changed a lamp on a sharp projector xv-z2000 2 months ago but i forgot to reset the lamp timer. now it ddoesnt work anymore. do i have to change it again? i need help. the lamp is so expensive. thank you..
The timer is only a reminder of how many hours you have used on a lamp. Some people run the lamp until it fails, others prefer to replace the bulb after a certain number of hours because picture quality can be reduced when using an older bulb.
The timer does not affect how the lamp is used or how the projector is run. If the new bulb has failed you either bought a cheaper replacement that was not made to the specifications recommended by the manufacturer, or you may have soiled the bulb with oil from your hands during installation and the oil caused damage to the bulb when heated.
