There are a number of things to consider when selecting a projector and their priority varies with the user. Only you know your needs/preferences.
It's a bit too complex to cover here, but for movie watching (Blu-ray) you want a 1080p model that handles 1080p/24 fps input (to take advantage of native Blu-ray format). Since some people are sensitive to "motion judder" (a consideration with 24 fps material, some form of frame interpolation is desirable. The Panasonic and Epson have it. See link 1.
You don't need brightness of more than 1500 lumens unless you plan to use it in a room with moderate ambient light (not the best situation for a projector).
You get a better picture with high contrast ratio projectors (but don't get carried away since published figures are exaggerated).
Other considerations include: basic technology (LCD, DLP or LCoS), zoom range, offset capability, colour accuracy, calibration flexibility, sharpness, how it handles scaling, input type and number, weight, size, color, warranty, replacement lamp cost (typically $250+ every 3000 hrs of use), and what type, how big and what shape the screen will be.
