HDMI Switch: Switch video with the latest in HDMI technology

A HDMI Switch is used in situations where there are too many HDMI devices and not enough ports on the HDTV to connect them. The input devices like computers, DVD players and set top boxes are connected to the input ports on the switcher which is then connected to the display using a single HDMI to HDMI cable. No complex procedures are needed to switch between the various sources. These devices maintain high resolution audio and video signals.

In order to view up to four HDMI compatible source devices to be switched easily into four HDTV compatible monitors or projectors, the HDMI matrix switch can be used. The HDMI Switcher is small and can be controlled via an infrared remote control, RS232 control or the push buttons provided in front of the unit. With the help of these control devices, a user can easily switch between various HDMI sources. The LED on the front indicates the source which has been selected. These switches support resolutions of 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p and are compatible with all HDMI and HDCP compliant devices. These devices are also FCC CE Certified and RoHS compliant.

They are available with plug and play functionality and can be cascaded for larger distribution. This type of Video Switcher device is available in several sizes such as the 2x1 switch, 3x1 switch, 4x1 switch, 5x1 switch and the 3x2, 2x2, 4x2 HDMI matrix switches. By using this switch, a user no longer has to disconnect and reconnect multiple HDMI sources resulting in less hassle. These switches are backward compatible with DVI-D and follow a standard of extremely high speed digital transmission. They support resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 and have a built in repeater/equalizer chipset which can boost digital HD signal length. The HDMI Switch is used for remote monitoring purposes as well as in conference rooms, educational institutions, control and data centers, training facilities and in other similar applications.

Is there such thing as a video output switcher?

I have both a projector and a monitor. They both have HDMI outputs. My receiver only has one output. What are my options if I want to switch between these two without having to pull out cables every time?
Yes, sorry. I meant to say they both have HDMI inputs. I have one source and two destinations and I need to see if there is a way of switching between the two more easily.

Plug the cable from your receiver into the middle spot and the the PJ and monitor into the other side.

They have the best prices FYI and I use their products for all my cabling needs.
