How do i fix a blue tint on my Projector?
I recently bought a new bulb for my projector since my old one went out, and the old one had a nasty blue tint on the edges of the screen and it would burn in images in blue, it also had an overall blue tint on the display. I thought changing out the bulb would fix it, but is there something else i need to replace? its not the settings because i restored them to factory default.
The first question I would have is what type of PJ do you have (LCD, CRT or DLP)? How is it connected (Component, S-Video, HDMI, DVI)??...
There can be multiple reason for it, the first thing I would do is connect a 'standard' tv to it to see if it is the projector, then:
1) If you are using component cables, make sure that they are plugged in securely and to the right "color" on both ends.
2) Could be a setting with the projector like 'color temperature' or type of display (mine has PureCinema, Natural...).
3) If it is a LCD projector, check if the panels are well aligned, check in the settings or in your manual, it should be fairly easy to adjust (mine is).
4) again, if it is a LCD projector, it could be a dying pannel or a dirty LCD panel.
