Projectors: the Entertainment Tools
Most of us today have become aware of projectors, what projectors are and what their functions are. Today everyone wants to sit at home and enjoy the movie with a theatre like experience at home itself. To fulfill this wish many of us get a projector for their home, the video projector that runs movie, not only at home but work places, colleges and even schools also use the video projector for diverse purposes.
The users of these video projectors are advised to pay lot of attention to the scaler. In a video projector one can use any number of processors, switches or even scalers just to optimize the video source so that it can be best suited to the native resolution of whatever type you are using.
There are few common types of projectors, one is the LCD projector which can be called the modern equivalent of the overhead and the slide projector. LCD a short form used for liquid crystal display, these projectors use a colored LCD panel that is placed before a bright shining lamp and so it produces the images that are given to it from the sources like the VCR, DVD player or your PC. LCD projectors are basically portable so they in turn form the easily transportable form of video projectors. There is an increasing demand of these projectors in the market, due to these factors .
While purchasing any LCD projector we must always keep in mind the resolution of the LCD projector, it is the main variant that determines the price range for these projectors. If you wish to see clearest picture then the higher resolution ones are the way to go.
The other type of projector is overhead projector, it consists of a bright lamp which is placed inside a large box, there is a small fan attached too that keeps the lamp cool. The quality of images that this projector produces mainly depends upon the type you are using; most of these come with adjustment screws that can be adjusted to make a clear image. The use of overhead projectors is mainly in school or other educational institutions, where they are used to show the notes and important documents. These projectors have now come up with the LCD displays providing even clearer screen. Today a lot of drift has been seen towards LCD Portable projectors because of the multifunctionality and easy to use qualities.
These video projectors have been a major part of educational system and of the business system too. Today projectors have traveled the golden path and from large cinema houses these projectors have reached your houses. They were, they are and they will always be one of the prime modes contributors to our entertainment world. The LCD projectors, the overhead projectors or any other kind of projector will continue to remain an integral part of entertainment, teachings and business works.

Getting pc to go through av reciever to a projector?
I'm having a difficulty getting my pc to go through my AV Receiver. I'm hooking up my video card to the HD MI slot on the back of the receiver. I've gone and setup which HD MI slot its using on the av setup menu. Now when i turn on my computer the Windows logo at the very beginning shows up now loading, but as soon as it goes to black screen after that (about to switch to desktop) it just stays black and does nothing.
I tried something else and it kinda worked. I went and got my dads tv and hooked it up as a second monitor and now it will come on both monitors, but i can't get it to go directly through the reciever whithout having that tv hooked up. i currently have to have it setup for duel monitor to work. But i would like to have it on single monitor setup going through the receiver to the projecter.
Any ideas?
I have a SLI config with 3 video cards using just one of them to go to the reciever. The GTX 480 cards with a Denon AVR-4308 CI reciever.
Try changing the resolution on your Laptop in the desktop settings.
