Projector bulbs: an innovative technology tool to view presentations on a large screen
Projector lamps and bulbs are basically used to view presentations on a large screen which is basically used in business meetings conferences and presentations. They are basically used to display images on a flat screen for easy visibility by a larger audience. Earlier halogen bulbs were used but now projector bulbs are made of metal halide lamps which produce high quality white light and thus improve the quality of the picture.
Temperature is an important aspect when it comes to projector lamps and bulbs because they are very sensitive to extreme room temperature especially to cold temperature. The life expectancy of a projector bulb is between 1000 to 2000 hrs. Projector repair is also a very important issue because lamps need to be replaced from time to time to enhance effectiveness and life value of bulb. Projector resolution and brightness should also be considered before buying a projector bulb. Resolution generally depends upon the purpose of purchase. SVGA is used for a normal presentation whereas if presentation is used for a large audience a high resolution is required.
Projector lamps are not only used for business use but they are also used for personal use in home theaters. There are various projector lamps such as overhead projectors, slide projectors and multimedia projectors. They are reasonably priced so that it can suit everyone pocket. Multimedia projector gives advantage of both audio and visual image quality. Multimedia projectors are better used in conference and thus they suit business use whereas, overhead projector is basically used for personal use; for a small group of people. They require adequate care to avoid replacement cost and enhance the life span of projector bulb. One should also avoid damage to projector bulb.
Size of a projector bulb also matters because it should be of optimum size. Storing maintenance and safety norms are also important when it comes to bulbs. It is advised to check lamp in projector bulbs because if caution is not taken in using it can lead to danger. Thus always ensure to buy projector lamps and bulbs from authorized dealers otherwise you can get counterfeit product.

Class room : LCD TV or Projector?
We are planning to buy a few projectors (with ceiling mount) for the school. I am wondering if we should buy LCD TV instead.
Good projector = minimum $1500 CAN.
Standard "46 LCD TV = around $1100.
Advantage of a LCD TV:
-no need to turn off the lights.
-can be hook close to the ceiling for better view
-don't have to wait for lamp to turn on
-no adjustment to do (focus, angles...)
-no lamp to replace ($400 each)
-life expectancy is way better
So tell me now, what is the point of a projector?
Thanks
The biggest advantage to the projector would be a much larger image.
Remember that classroom presentation slides are usually formatted 4:3. A 4:3 image on a 16:9 flatscreen will be pretty small. If the classroom is for 20 or so students you should be OK. If these are larger classrooms, the image will be too small to read text from the back of the room.
A projection screen should be placed close to the ceiling too.
By the way, you can get a fine classroom projector for under $800 in the USA:
