How to Repair Your Headlights Without Burning a Hole in Your Pocket:-
The statistics available on the number of night time casualties occurring due to damaged
headlights are quite alarming. In the present situation, damaged headlights cause a mind
boggling proportion of all the car accidents that happen annually.
As per the facts the clouded vision of the man behind the wheel of a car involved in a
night time accident can be attributed more to yellowed and hazy headlights than to the
number of drinks that he had.
Proper and timely headlight repair is the need of the hour. Any car with damaged and
cloudy headlights is a veritable killing machine that is stalking the roads.
The necessity of headlight restoration and repair may arise due to varied factors. Factors
like the weather elements, the sun’s detrimental rays, polluted rain, hail, strong moving
winds and snow can play havoc with a car’s lighting mechanism leading to cracks in the
headlights. Since the headlights are made of plastic, they tend to oxidize and acquire a
yellow tinge after a few years.
In any case, a dirty headlight with a mottled surface does not make your car look
charming and neither does it say much about you the owner either as a car is basically a
reflection of it’s owner.
In addition to being an aesthetic eyesore your car would also be a death trap on wheels if
the headlights are clouded and covered with grime, not to mention yellowed with age.
If your car’s headlight is simply dirty or a little bit of water has seeped into it, then you
do not need to bring your car all the way to a garage for repairs. You can do the repair job
on your own.
In order to clean up the headlights you can buy a cheap but efficient headlight repair kit
that is easily found in the market. You could even have one delivered by ordering it from
a website.
The head light cleaning kit would contain a cleaner, which would suffice for the job that
you have on hand.
For removing any water that might be lodged inside, you need to remove the lens and
drill a small hole beneath the headlight that would go all the way up to the inner chamber.
Drain away the collected water and ensure that your headlight is dry using the airconditioner
or a dehumidifier.
To fix small problems like cracks or holes, there is nothing like plastic resin to fix them
up. Since the resin is transparent, no body will be able to notice the difference in
appearance. With the headlight repair kit at your service, any small headlight repair job
that crops up on your car won’t seem as if it’s a big deal.
If things are very serious then the most that would happen is that your car headlight repair
job would actually involve a replacement. That particular job isn’t too hard either.
If your car’s headlight happens to have a halogen bulb, then all you need to do is to take
off the hood and right behind the headlamp you would be able to see a black knob. The
bulb is attached to this black knob. Unscrew the bulb from the knob and then replace it
with a fresh one. It couldn’t have been any easier.
At times, a headlight repair job may come up that would require a visit to the experts.

Purple Stains/Spots on Projector?
How can you clean purple spots/stains on a projector? I have already cleaned the outside lens. Please help.
I assume you mean that the projected image has a purple stain?
If so, your problem may be fatal. This is actually fairly common when the LCD panel inside the projector goes bad. It is usually not worth replacing but you can check with the maker of the projector.
