How to Fix an LCD projector with a Yellow Mark (uncentered, not uniform)?
Hey,
So I've got this LCD projector: Sharp PG-C45X LCD. Its producing a strange mark near the upper right of the image causing it and was wondering if you knew how to fix it? I just got it and it's used and not under warranty. Is there dust on the LCD or do i need to replace the UV filter or what? I have experience taking apart and fixing electronics but I'm not really sure what's going on here. Any help would be really appreciated. Let me know. I'm kinda against the clock on this one, so any quick helpful responses would be really great. Thanks! Photos can be found here.

The blotch most likely is caused by degradation of the polarizer usually in the blue light path since it's closest to the lamp. The damage is caused by UV from the lamp. The polarizer can be purchased from any Sharp dealer.
