Infocus X2 projector?

Is the Infocus X2 projector compatible with a Mac? Is the projector worth $550?

Mac video is within the vertical and horizontal sync range of at least most projectors, therefore the X2 should be compatible (It’s listed as personal computer compatible on the projector central website — see link). Remember projectors were first used for business presentations and would expect to be computer driven.

While a capable model when introduced 3 years ago the specs are a bit dated for home theatre use. But you don’t say why you want it, and based on the question re Mac connectivity it might be for (business?) presentations … in which case see the second link for a possible list of similar models. Is the X2 worth $550 …. this list of comparable resolution projectors suggests the X2 is fairly priced. Remember the cost of a bulb alone is $300
