Now the days have been gone to go to the theaters and see movies. It has become more simple just attach your DVD player with your home projector, pressing on the power buttons and start enjoying the movies.
Today’s multi media projector is being helpful for commercial use and for home cinema as home cinema projector. It is mostly used in the office. You see thick cable in the middle of the conference room. It is mostly used for presentation and conferences in the offices. But now it is used as home cinema projector.
And also due to fall in price and new invention in the projectors, demand for projector has been increased to good level in last some of the few years. There are many types of projectors have came in market with different usage added benefit a lot
Things to be consider before selecting the proper PROJECTOR:
Brightness:
Brightness is being more important for the commercial use as it is being needed for presentation and conference. But the medium level of light is seen to be perfect for home cinema projector.
Good Contrast:
Contrast level with do not affect more in business as well as for the home cinema projector. In reality contrast level above 400:1 can be easily viewed by eyes. And this contrast ratio is being available in all projectors. It is used when the some picture is not seen clearly.
Colour performance:
This attribute is required when projector is used for home cinema projector. This feature is most required when required when projector is used for fast running movies, videos etc. But for the commercial level it is not more required as most use of projector for conference and presentations only.
Portability:
If you are purchasing projector for commercial use then the projector with less weight and small size will be really helpful for business use. Good portability is required if you are traveling frequently. Some of the projector has inbuilt speakers and many more good features which will be the most helpful to professional. But due these advanced features there price also increases.
But for home cinema projector this feature is of no use. Generally home cinema projector is place at fixed place, normally on ceilings.
Video projector connectivity:
Home cinema projector or the business projector is connected with pc, DVD, set top box etc. But not all projector give connectivity to s-videos, RGB connectivity features. So the good video connectivity should be checked. There are different set of standard for the Video projector connectivity.
There are different standard are kept for video connectivity such as M1, DVI, P&D give different feature of connectivity
Some Precaution for long life of projector:
1 First durst out your room where you want to keep your projector. As the dust and the projector cannot live together. It is necessary for the long life of your projector.
2 Also use mindful for the turning off and on the projector does not give stress by often switching on and off of the projector. It will decrease life of projector.
3. Keep your eyes on projector lamp when the bulb is on. See that the bulb not be overheated. If the bulb has been overheated there is chance of burning out quickly.
4. Projector should be used in the dark room as the projector picture cannot be seen properly where there is light reflected near projector screen.

opening a new business - should i use plasma or projector in the waiting area to show videos?
Projector is going to need a DARK room to show images properly.
Plasma has a highly reflective screen, so if there are any windows nearby, the glare will be murder.
LCD might work the best for you.
