The is a Mitsubishi replacement lamp for the HC900 projector. This lamp is of authentic value reassuring that you receive an accurate Mitsubishi replacement lamp, and that your image quality will continue to stay as acceptable as it was when it used the stock bulb. This projector bulb may be run in two modes. These being, high and, low mode. While it is operating in low mode the lamp draws 200 watts and will last 4000 hours. The great thing regarding this feature is that your saving power while prolonging bulb life. So the option of using low mode is very favorable.
In spite of all this the only issue to utilizing the bulb in low mode is the lowered brightness of the image, therefore it is suggested for you to use low mode if the surounding light is dim, however if you can bear with it and, admire the perks of it, then theirs nothing ceasing you against utilizing low mode all the time. If however, it ends up that you desire a more luminous image, then you can go on and run the HC900 bulb in high mode. When it is in high mode the HC900 lamp uses 250 watts, and produces 1500 ANSI lumens of brightness.
The down side to using the HC900 lamp in high mode is limited to the fact that it consumes more electricity, but that the bulbs life is reduced. Although the increase in energy is rather unnoticeable. This preference of having the ability to change between low and high mode is a benefit to you because it lets you extend bulb life and energy while the preference still exists to take advantage of using high mode, subject to the environmental conditions. Even if your lamp has not burned out yet, it remains a good plan to keep a replacement on hand, just in the misfortune your current HC900 bulb fails. It is going to be rather inconvenient to be wacthing one of your most entertaining network series or movie and have your current projectors lamp quit, and have to wait until you get a new lamp to continue veiwing.
Furthermore since the HC900 is of certified value you will not have to worry about the lamp being non-compactable and you should be able to effectively install it. If you run into trouble you can consistently check the owners manual for installation directions, and it is suggested that you read it prior to installation. Overall you should be pleased with the HC900 lamp, and continue to enjoy your cinematic viewing experience

Mitsubishi projector HC900 shuts off automatically, why?
I have the Mitsubishi projector HC900 and for some strange reason it shuts off automatically. I am pretty techno-savvy but I just cant figure it out. It has a new bulb, so that is not the problem. It just turns off after about 1-2 minutes. Any help would be awesome, thanks...
Usually it means that there is a power supply issue in the unit.....not bad power to the house (which is very unlikely). Most projectors have an auto shutdown feature if there is something wrong with the unit. Some projectors have led's that flash and show what the error code is. It is best to have it professionally checked......sometimes it is something as simple as a solder joint that broke loose, but then it could always be a bad component.
