A Review Of The 42 Inch Panasonic TX-P42G20

A new addition to the line of plasmas, the VIERA, comes the Panasonic TXP42G20B. As a leading manufacturer in the world of digital electronics, Panasonic proves their worth by offering a television with many great technologies. This will definitely be a person's total entertainment centre, with a slim casing and the television set itself being fully equipped with different features.

The Panasonic VIERA TXP42G20B makes great use of every inch of the 42 inch display, which shows all the reasons why it is a worthy purchase. This television set raises the bar on the standard for television displays with the way the NeoPDP screen renders its images at a 1920x1080 resolution. This television set offers the richest blacks ever, with a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 due to the strategically diminished pilot lights that significantly enhance colour and contrast.

This television set is certainly favourable to those who frequently watch shows that are fast in speed, such as the newest action movie or watching a sport. It makes good usage of the Intelligent Frame Creation Pro technology by Panasonic, which does exactly as the name implies: professionally and intelligently creates new frames, allowing twice the frame rate to be used. Now a favourite fast paced show will be free of the judder and blur and replace it with sharp clarity in its stead.

The 24 Film Playback Function on the Panasonic TX-P42G20B is a great technology for those who want the theatre experience without having to leave the home. This means one can easily get a refresh rate of 24, which is the way that a theatre projector would display its images on the big screen. As an added bonus, one can easily accommodate the television to any room by freely changing the viewing angle.

The television set offers four different HDMI ports all around the back and the side of the television set, ensuring that one will never need to worry about running out of places to connect. Never worry about keeping multiple remote controls either, because a single controller for the Panasonic VIERA TX-P42G20B will maintain control of all of them.

Another bonus for the Panasonic TXP42G20B is that it is capable of surfing the Internet by way of several user friendly applications. These applications grant access to web content such as weather reports, video clips, music streaming, photos and more.

Yet another feature of the Panasonic TXP42G20B includes the ability to display JPEG photos in a complete high definition clarity by inserting an SD card into the appropriate slot and perhaps selecting some background tracks or slide transition effects. One might even be able to play AAC or MP3 files stored on the SD card, or a DivX or AVCHD video file.

Freeview HD is possible through the integrated digital tuner. Anybody who is in the market for a new television set should first take a look at the Panasonic TXP42G20B, since it is difficult to go wrong from there.

can i use this set up for my projector?

hi, i am receiving the panasonic pt ax200 sometime this week and i was wondering if you could tell me if this set up would work? i am setting up a laptop, PS3, and cable to the projector...

the laptop would be easy, i just use a vga and plug it into the projector

as for the cable, i will plug the video cable to the video input on projector and the red and white to the speakers.

the PS3 is a little tricky for me though, i plan on using the hdmi plug for the PS3 and connecting it to the projector, then using the other cord that comes with the PS3 (the RCA ones) and just using the red and white to connect to speakers, and leaving the yellow wire unplugged. i was wondering if that would be possiible, because i want HD gaming, but i dont know if i could use the hdmi for video, then using the red and white for speakers and NOT video???

please help

It may work, but you will not have good sound quality

The RCA cables (red and white) don't support surround sound, only stereo (left and right), what you want to do, is instead of using the RCA cables, you will want to use digital optical (if your receiver doesn't support digital optical, it may be time to get a new receiver), if you don't have a receiver that supports digital optical in, and you want to get it working right away, then you can use the RCA connections, just keep in mind it won't sound that great
