Where can I get supplies?

I will be beginning my teaching career this school year and I got a message from the Principal from the school I will be teaching at telling all of the teachers, "Now is the time to be ordering and shopping for school supplies". Where can I get all of my new supplies (stores and Websites, please) I will be teaching Elem. School, 5th Grade to be more precise. And all that they're supplying me are the following:
Teacher & Student desks, 1 filing cabinet, 1 semi-long table, 1 reading table, 1 bookshelf, Overhead Projector cart and 1-2 rugs. Thanks to everyone who answers!!!
Budget the school gives to individual teachers: $500.00.

I can't believe you get $500. I am jealous! HA HA! You definitely want to check with your school before buying stuff because a lot of schools have companies you can order from that offer significant discounts to the school. Especially on everyday classroom items like paper, crayons, pencils, markers, scissors, glue, etc. Make sure you have the necessities before you buy your decorative stuff. Also, talk to your fellow teachers before you order. I remember my first year, I ordered stuff that I probably didn't need. You might want to talk to your 5th grade team and make sure someone doesn't have an abundance of something that they might be willing to share. Seriously, stretch that $500 out as best you can. You're definitely going to need every penny of it. Trust me...buying stuff for your classroom becomes very addicting. You will probably spend a lot of your own money as well. Teaching sure doesn't make you rich, but it sure is the most rewarding and fun job ever!
