The first mini computer projectors are hitting the market with full force and elegance. Optoma DLP EP-PK-101 Pico Pocket Projector is going to dominate our pockets and bring us into the real life of technology. This one is just a tiny device but is certainly one of the best.
Feels more comfortable in the hand than a lot of other cell phones, this black colored portable has narrow frame and less buttons that's why it's very convenient to use and operate. A power switch and a focus-control wheel are all it has making it less complicated than other hand held gadgets. It weighs only 4.2 ounces, extraordinarily light to carry just everywhere you want to go. But it's not all about the size; it's more on its video components. This little projector is composed of a combo-rig LED lamp and a DLP chip that gives 480 x 320 pixels resolution with a 9-lumen range output. If you imagine, this is a little low compared to other colossal projectors, but see, this is remarkable for something that is as small as this.
Optoma EP-PK-101 has a striking 1000-1 contrast ratio, matching with LEDs that are estimated to have a 20,000-hour battery, that's incredibly twice as other full-sized projectors. But many say that its picture shines more clearly and effectively in a dark place. That's correct but if we look at its greater use, there will be no problem with that since it is nicer to view videos and/or movies in a light-sealed environment, right? The size is very considerable.
The projector is best set between 31 and 72 inches for a perfect viewing experience. It is equipped with a small, 0.5-watt speaker, which may need plugging your own sound system into its AV input. That's basically easy to do. This Optoma EP-PK-101 may have some shortcoming; nevertheless it has greater use and so amazing of its easy transport size.

How do divx/xvid movies look when divx players are hooked up to projectors & screened at around 60 - 70 inch?
I have a lot of DIvx/Xvid movies. I wish to get a projector to mainly view these movies at large screen sizes around 60 - 100 inches. I plan to hook up my projector to my Philips dvp642 dvd player. I was thinking of getting a projector like the optoma hd70 for this purpose. Do the Divx/Xvid movies look like total crap (I know they'll look worse than DVDs)?
Is it worth getting a projector to look at divx/xvid movies at big screen sizes?
If it is a good DVD rip, then they actually look pretty close to a DVD. At 60 inches or smaller, then it would look fine. Any larger, then you start to see the pixelation and noise.
