DLP Projector color wheel malfunction?
I have an Optoma 739 with about 800 hours on the first lamp. Recently after about 1hour of operation the image color begins to flicker and the image turns green. The projector is used in a smoking environment. What happened to the color wheel ; if it is that? And how can I prevent this in the future?

I don't have an answer...sorry. BUT wanted to let you know that I found your question while researching a similar issue with my Optima projector on the net. We are about where you are with our lamp--should have quite a lot of time left. Anyway, tonight we were watching a movie and the picture started to flicker red, green, and blue. ??? Sounds similar.
