Is there such thing as a DVD player that will play .avi , .mkv , or .ogm files? What is it?
I don't want any suggestions about how to convert said file extensions into DVD format. I want to be able to simply burn these movie files onto a regular disc and play them on my TV.
Is there anything that does this? I am sick of watching these movies on my computer. I want to know the easiest way to play them on a TV. I have thought about getting a projector, but what I really want tis a unit that would gladly accept my files without any conversion or convincing. Anyone know anything about a machine that does this? If there is not a unit that does this, wouldn't it be great if there was?
Thanks for looking at my question.Thank you for your time.
Philips players can play .AVI (DivX) files as well as the usual DVD and JPEG stills. I haven't seen anything that will play the other formats, but some other mfg's can play MPEG files.
