Home theater components good picks?
I am thinking
1. apple tv
2. LG BD370 blu ray player
3. Mitsubishi HC3800 1080p Home Theater DLP Projector
4. Onkyo TX-SR507 reciever
5. 5.1 Polk Audio Monitor series(I know not detailed but I like the speakers)
So really my questions are do you think this system will work? Do you think I could have made any better choices? And most of all do you think I should use an apple tv or should I get a computer and if so which one?
ps I don't want a ps3
1. The Apple TV is a great product, but wait until the next revision comes out.
2. LG makes good Blu-Ray players
3. You are better off getting a LCD TV versus a projector, unless you spend at least $10,000 it.
4. The Onkyo TX-SR507 is fine.
5. Polk makes acceptable speakers. From the experience I've had with them, they don't sound great, but they are better than some other brands (ie. Klipsch, Definitive Tech,). If you do go with polk, make sure to get their higher-end stuff. I would personally recommend getting Paradigm speakers.
