How are we going to make a mini slide projector???
dis s 4 our investigatory project...i also need simple materials when making it..tnx!!:D
For a simple projector, you will need a couple of convex lenses, a bulb and something to hold your slide.
The first lens collects as much of the light from the bulb as possible and focus it through the slide and towards the second lens.
The second lens is positioned so that it projects an image of the slide on whatever you are using as a screen.
http://www.diyprojectorcompany.com/theory/index.php has a simple description to use a LCD panel instead of a slide, but the principal is the same. You won't need a fresnel lens for a slide projector - that's just a clever way of making a very big lens that you would need for larger LCD panels. One major improvement you can get over the simple scheme shown here is to put a spherical reflector behind the bulb. When positioned correctly, a lot of the light going backwards which would have been lost, is reflected back towards the bulb.
http://www.edmundoptics.com/techSupport/DisplayArticle.cfm?articleid=251 has a more technical description. Their reticle is your slide. This also uses a fibre optic but you won't need that, just put your bulb where they put the end of the fibre. It also has a more efficient double lens arrangement to collect the light (the condenser lens system) and a better quality arrangement of two achromatic doublets to project the image. Don't worry about that, for a simple projector you won't need these. If you have to write about what you have done then you might mention them as ways of making the projector better.
Good luck
