Macbook to Tv Cable
Are you looking for
Macbook to tv converter cables
? Do you need specific cable wires
for your Macbook to connect it to your television? This article provides basic
information on various options available to you and also provides a fast solution!
The Apple DVI to Video Adapter was designed by Apple Computers to allow Mac Pro (with ATI X1900 XT), MacBook Pro, Mac mini and Power Mac G5 users to connect the DVI port to an S-video or Composite video device such as TVs, VCRs or overhead projectors with S-Video or RCA (Composite) connectors. The Apple DVI to Video Adapter is designed to work with the DVI port on the Mac Pro (with ATI X1900 XT) MacBook Pro, Mac mini and Power Mac G5 systems only.
But what if you don't have a MacPro? How then do you connect your MacBook to the tv? Traditional wisdom says tha you should first verify that your MAC laptop meets the system requirements to connect to a TV. Then go to the menu system on your television to learn the proper input source for your equipment. Next you should locate the input ports for your television and your MAC laptop and verify their compatibility. If there is more than one port, select the connection with the highest quality that both devices can support or handle.
Next select the appropriate cable to connect the two. Your choices most likely will be a D-Sub (VGA or Video Graphics Array), a DVI (Digital Visual Interface) or an HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface). Then be sure to check your television's operating manual for the year your set was manufactured. Older models may require you to have the video card or a scan converter to translate the signals being transmitted from your laptop to the TV. Most televisions also rely on these converters to meld the computer's red, green and blue signals into a single one the TV can use. You should refer to the converter's operation manual for installation instructions.
Go ahead and hook up the sound card's "Line-Out" connector from your MAC laptop into your television and refer to the converter's manual on how to properly modify your laptop's refresh rate and resolution then turn on both devices to check your connections. Finally pay a visit to your local retail or electronics stores to purchase the necessary equipment.
Now isn't that a load of horse crap? All that instruction to then tell you at the very end to go and purchase the cables or wires you need at your local retailer. Folks if you are looking for any specific

About the Author
I did some research online and apparently there are a lot of websites online offering "clear cut" methods for how to connect a computer or laptop to the television but for MacBook users, as this article is intended for, there are not many options. I did however come across a few methods which people seem to say work for them. To me it looks like a lot of hard work but maybe you prefer to do more than I do. Try to visit

Projector cables?
I am a Mac and Pc user and will buy a Sony VPL-EX4 projector. What kind of cables do I need to connect both computers to the projector?
Your PC will have a VGA or DVI output. Your Mac will have a DVI output. Your Projector appears to support only a D-SUB input.
The good news is that the adaptors are freely available .. search dvi to d-sub or vga to d-sub and you will find plenty of suppliers.
If you want to connect both computers, you will need an a/b switch that allows you to connect 2 computers to a single display/keyboard/mouse. Again, plenty to choose from in the marketplace.
Good luck.
