anybody here knows about the Luxcine brand of LED projector (http://www.luxcine.com/)?

just too good to be true. the features are astonishing–even carrying a TV tuner within the device. i’ve seen the videos they posted on youtube and they really looked good. i just don’t know if it’s really for real. i am planning to buy a unit from them. i’ve already contacted the company but i’m a bit worried about their claims. their LED projectors are really too good to be true for the price. the high end one costs only $400 + $98 for shipping to my location. not even the LG and Samsung LED projectors can compare (based on Luxcine’s claims).

Looks interesting, but only SVGA (800×600) native resolution and 600:1 contrast. Surprisingly bright 1200 lumens, a lot for LED.

For home theater use I wouldn’t consider it, it can display DVDs at full resolution, but for a big screen you really need Blu-ray resolution.

4:3 aspect means that for widescreen content, you’re getting even less resolution.

I personally would spend $200 more and get a 1280×720 projector with 2000 lumens and 2000:1 contrast.

But LED projectors are definitely the future.
