No, that's not a good projector. You won't be happy with it. Poor resolution, 800x600 is SVGA, which is barely DVD resolution, NOT high definition. It's also dim, requires all lights be off, and poor contrast, meaning blacks will be gray.
If you want a decent projector on a budget, look for a used business projector with at least XGA (1024x768) resolution from a reputable manufacturer (Panasonic, Epson, Optoma, InFocus, Dell, etc).
But you will have to spend at least $400 to get a good used projector with XGA or better resolution. Most home theater projectors are 720p (1280x720) or 1080p (1920x1080). 1080p projectors are starting to be introduced at less than $1000.
