Can I get a live feed from a video camera to an LCD projector wirelessly?
I'm trying to project games and worship for a Wednesday night youth service, but the projectors are mounted on the ceiling and the computer that is connected to the projectors is on the other side of a wall/window. Is there anyway to connect a feed of the video from the camera to the computer or projector wirelessly? I'd hate to have 100ft of s-video cable draped from the ceiling.
Since only the VGA is being used (right?) you still have to climb a ladder and hook up something to the unit, such as S-video cable or RCA cable. If there is no power outlet near the projector, a wireless video transmitter won't work as it needs power.
There are some rare battery operated video transmitters on ebay, but if you are running the event for more than hour, the batteries are going to die.
In short, paying $100 some odd dollars for a video transmitter really isn't worth it because most of them are at 2.8ghz which get TONS of interference.
I think it's time to install a PERMANENT input cable on the projector.
