My monitor is stuck in LCD display mode?

I have a Vaio laptop and I used it at work on Friday to show a movie using an LCD projector. In using that projector I had to use the Fn+F7 combo to view the movie. I unplugged the projector and brought my computer home. Now my computer monitor is stuck in a weird extra-wide display. I have tried adjusting the display and also turning the computer off and back on. I’ve also tried the obvious Fn+F7 combo again. HELP!!!

When you originally set the computer up to connect to the projector, it set the resolution to the native resolution of the projector.

Sometimes, the computer will save that resolution when it returns to the way it was before.

To fix it, find out what the resolution is supposed to be set to, and reset the resolution in the display properties.

To find the display properties, simply right-click on any empty space on your desktop and select “properties”.

From there, click on the “settings” tab and you will see the resolution slide bar on that page.
