Should I buy a projector ?
I spend about 2 hours a day behind my computer desktop doing Internet search . I use either CRT, or LCD monitor.
I am 53 years of age and I find that my eyesight is getting
worse. I blame it on the computer monitors becauthey release too much radiation.
Should I buy an Overhead - Desk - Projector or a Digital Projector? Is it practical to use a projector on my P.C for Internet research? Are they easy to read? Do they emmit too much radiation?

If you get a projector then you will need to place it somewhere where you can project a reasonable sized image onto a screen you can see. If anything gets between the projector and the screen it will cast a shadow.
Most projectors are either 800 by 600 or 1024 by 768. This is much lower resolution than anything but the smallest LCD screens. This is going to make the same size text harder to read as it is going to have less pixels available for font smoothing etc.
On monitor radiation:
It is just about possible to get a CRT to emit X-rays. to do this the high voltage in the CRT has to increase by about 30% to 50% over the normal value. Every CRT has a circuit that stops this from happening. It used to be that at least one monitor every day from each production line would have to have this circuit tested under DHHS rules. The DHHS drop this requirement because these circuits were so effective they did not need to be tested.
Both LCDS and CRTs produce EMI - radio waves. So does your TV, you computer, your printer. The FCC regulates these and most monitors pass the more stringent FCC class B requirements. If you have a cell phone, or someone within 30 feet of you has a cell phone you are getting more EM radiation form that cell phone than from your monitor.
Both LCDs and CRTs do produce lots of radiation in the 400 to 700 nm range. However that is because they are designed to do so as this is the range of wavelength for visible light.
