I am very interested in buying a projector to show dvds and cable television in my house. I would like some pros and cons to these projectors and is it worth buying a cheap projector as apposed to a cheap television. I was thinking with a projector i could get a large screen size for cheaper than that same size LCD. please help

Blue Ray has the market but I would wait until the end of the year to see Blue Ray DVD players come down in price. Blue Ray offers full HD 1080p image.
On the projector front, as long as you have a unit that has 2000 contrast and a DLP chip, you'll be surprised at the brightness and clarity of your image. Better than the theater.
I'm upgrading soon to Blue Ray ( waiting for movies to come down in $ ), I have a BenQ - DLP 2000res with a 108" screen. Audio is a Sherwood THX tuner 6.1 with Infinity Primus theater speakers.
