LCD Projector- Buying Guide
There is simply no finish to innovation. Mutually new innovation surpasses another, technology has gradually morphed into a superior force that dominated every aspect of our lives.
Every technological innovation is measured by the dint of its output. LCD projector is the name that tops the list. Nowadays, LCD projectors are a necessity. It is an integral half of each business meetings, seminars and conferences. The origin of LCD projectors dates back to 1971 when Gene Dolgoff for the first time used liquid crystals to modulate light. And it absolutely was in 1981 when for the primary time LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) projectors were introduced in the market. The technology behind these projectors is very complicated. A lightweight beam sent from metal halide lamp through a prism. The prism segregates the sunshine into 3 poly silicon panels for 3 totally different components of video signals. As lightweight passes through these panels, the individual pixels are opened to pass and closed to dam light. This terribly combination of pixels produces a wide range of color in the projected image.
One of the best benefits of LCD projector is that it is highly portable.
The value of the transportable machines are a comparatively above its primitive counterparts.. The lightest model offered till date weighs less than 5 pounds. Whereas you buy a light-weight weight LCD projector, you should not forget to think about the weight of the case where it is encased.
There are some necessary factors to be borne in mind whereas you agree for getting one.
Firstly, the screen resolution should suit your usage. The resolution that works fine for a PowerPoint presentation might be a total misfit for showing statistical data or numerical figures.
Secondly, the dimensions of the lumen should be in conformity with the place where the projector would be used. A lot of the number of people, the better should be the brightness of the images. A one thousand to 2000 lumen projector would work fine for a medium sized room. Again, whereas you are presenting something during a seminar, you wish a projector with higher lumen.
While shopping for LCD projectors, one ought to go for quality. It is advisable that you select the one that includes a durable lamp. Most LCD projectors today have a lamp life of 1000hrs and this may go up to 4000hours. Replacement bulbs might ultimately value you more within the long run. It's always better to refrain from using halogen lamps since they exhaust when seventy hours and produces a yellowish tinge on the images.
One must doubly ensure that the projector he buys is video compatible. Whereas composite video input allows you to attach video players, part video inputs permits you to attach directly to DVD Players, digital VCRs and HDTV tuners. The HDTV(High definition television) signals are digital and supports a higher resolution.
Last however not the least; a projector should continuously be ideally positioned at the centre of the screen. If that is not done, the pictures are projected at an angle and may appear distorted. The keystone correction feature adjusts and enhances correct positioning of images.

Multimedia projectors. PLease help?
I am very interested in buying a projector to show dvds and cable television in my house. I would like some pros and cons to these projectors and is it worth buying a cheap projector as apposed to a cheap television. I was thinking with a projector i could get a large screen size for cheaper than that same size LCD. please help
I saw your question earlier, here's your answer.
The best connection is with a HDMI connection between your TV and projector. You can also run HDMI from your DVD player if it has a HDMI output.
HDMI ( high definition multi interface is here now and will be the wave for many years. You might as well invest in it now in order to enjoy true HD audio and video resolution. Blue Ray has the market but I would wait until the end of the year to see Blue Ray DVD players come down in price. Blue Ray offers full HD 1080p image.
On the projector front, as long as you have a unit that has 2000 contrast and a DLP chip, you'll be surprised at the brightness and clarity of your image. Better than the theater.
I'm upgrading soon to Blue Ray ( waiting for movies to come down in $ ), I have a BenQ - DLP 2000res with a 108" screen. Audio is a Sherwood THX tuner 6.1 with Infinity Primus theater speakers. When the T-Rex puts his foot down, it sounds pretty good when the water puddle vibrates. The picture even in dark lit scenes is highly clear. The DLP chip makes this possible.
