Which projector should i get for my budget?
Hi i am totally confused on which projector to buy, i have 2 in mind, but cost is a serious issue as it is with this country.
The two models i'm interested in is Hitachi CPX3 - and that is £600
and Optoma HD700x which is £450
My budget is max £400, i want it for a home cinema, good ambient light (1200 - 2000 lumens should do) a good resolution (720dp), an xga or higher, preferebly a widescreen but optional. Lamp life (as high as it can go (min 3000hours)) and lamp replacement should be cheap.
Projector screen is 120inch
Throw can be adjusted....
Please help me find an ideal projector in my price range. Best deal shown gets 10points.

thanks for that, i can stretch a bit on my budget, but the Optoma HD65 has only a few pounds difference between the optoma hd700x, which one is better, even if it means spending a few extra pounds.

FYI don't go to0 high on Lumens in a home cinema
High Lumens will kill your black levels
4000:1 contrast ratio and a native 720p resolution capable of 1080p, Plus a 3000 hour lamp life. Less than 300 for the bulb replacements too.
That is my suggestion for your projector.It may be 60 more but you couldn't go wrong with it.

If you have a rigid budget go with this one. I use it for my home theater and love it. It can do up to 1080i and has a 2000:1 contrast ratio. In ECO mode the bulb runs 3000 hours(which you will want to run it in because it's too bright in normal mode for home theater use).
It's very light weight too weighing only 5 lbs
