i want one for my grad party tommorow night. i heard i can buy one from walmart...just plug it into my dvd player?
then can i hang a white sheet up against the house? will that work?

yes that will work, but if is for one night it would be better if you just rent one i think. They coast a lot of money. Might even be cheaper on line google shop it. Hope that helps.
