What is the difference between the ratio of 1500:1 and 2000:1 for the spotlight?
In particular, I am trying to decide between a Toshiba projector TDP-ET10U or DLP projector InFocus 2102. What would be the best choice?
I am assuming is the LCD is a Toshiba and XVGA projector. Generally more High contrast ratio is better, but if you compare an LCD to a DLP, I would go with the DLP, whether or not the contrast ratio is smaller … DLP gives much richer color than any LCD. Now, to answer the question more specific, the number 1 ratio (2000:1 cons 1500:1) The more choices of colors between white and black on the scale. The report is misleading because it really is not not thousands of millions of colors, as represented by numbers. Another thing to consider is as a set of color chips are in many projectors. Most low cost only 1 DLP and once again have a resolution of 1500 – 3000:1. DLP is the upper end of 3 color chip and are capable of 10 times. (Same Cost $ 6 – 7000) Hope that helps
