Hitachi digital camera - meaning of icons?
Hi there
My daughter recently handed me down a digital camera in an effort to bring me into the 21st Century.
It is a HITACHI 1051e.
It is easy to use, but I have no idea what the small icons on the dial at the top mean..
They are as follows:
The letter A (coloured red)
A hand (apparently waving)
<-> (two arrows connected)

The Letter M
The letters Av
The Letters Tv
The Letter P
The Letters SCN
I have tried to get an instruction manual, without success ... and my daughter could not assist.
I'm sure it's pretty basic stuff but ....

A = Automatic (camera does everything)
A waving hand - probably to warn of too slow shutter speed leading to possible shake.
two arrows - probably move between programs using the joystick controller on the rear

Tv, opposite to last, shutter priority, you set speed, camera sets aperture

SCN - no idea.
Later, SCN stands for 'scene', or the program for a landscape photograph.
