The Ultimate HD Digital Projector
Projectors In Today's Modern World
Projectors have become a part of the modern technology era that we live in. They are used in converting images from a computer and onto a screen via its lens systems. They are able to visualise the data that has been stored on a computer for a presentations. Projectors allow people to view moving images, video and audio from DVD or Blu-Ray disc and player. They also can convert documents onto an interactive whiteboard as well.
The use of projectors is playing a role in the home theatre systems as the resolution of these devices are of SVGA standard (800 by 600 pixels). The cost of a projector is based on the resolution and its brightness. If you are using a projector within a large room or for a conference, then the brightness of the device should be anywhere between 1,000 and 4,000 ANSI lumens.
The first digital projector was developed in the 1950s by Eidophor and it is used a rotating disk that had an oily surface with the light shining through it and also use an electron beam to disrupt the oil in a certain way.
There are four technologies that have been used in the development of projectors, which are:
- High Intensity CRT
- LCD
- DLP
- Eidophor (oil film) projectors – now obsolete
LCD projectors are known for being portable and lighter when compared with the CRT models and can be moved from one place to another easily. These are very popular models and come in a range of shapes and sizes. LCD and CRT projectors fall into the category of transitive projectors.
Reflective projectors are the better quality digital projectors that provide crystal clear images and colours. These devices are reasonably priced and take entertainment to the next level and it allows everyone to enjoy having a home theatre system within their home.

What is the best way to convert 35mm color slides from the 1980's to high-res digital photos?
I have a scanner which can scan them in, but the resolution is not very high. 383 x 575 (actual size). Will the best results come from scanning them in myself, or paying a service to scan them in? How do these services offer varying levels of resolution? I spent a summer in Spain while in college (and other summers in Mexico), and would like to get my pics out of the slide projector box! High resolution is the main goal I'm trying to achieve. Thanks in advance for your help!
if you have the negatives, and I have all of mine even from the 60s, you should get a better scanner and scan the negs
