it only has a max resolution of 1024 x 768 - 720p hd is 1280 x 720

another person is selling a infocus in78- its got a hdmi port but the seller says its non hd,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=260372372889

they said it cant suplly a hd picture but it can accept one - im a bit confused as it has a hdmi port. it is also not hd ready what does this mean?

i would like to spend well under £400 for a hd projerctor - whats better a hd projector or hdtv

To be considered HD a device must support 720p or above.
So 720p, 1080i and 1080p are all considered high definition.

There is also confusion around HD and digital.
High definition can be transported by both digital and analogue means.

Component video will transport 720p and 1080i as an analogue signal.
HDMI will transport 720p, 1080i and 1080p as a digital signal.

HDMI will transport both video and audio while component will only transport video. You will need to use additional cables to transport audio.
