help with dlp projector?

i have a 720p/1080i DLP projector with a upscale HDMI dvd player for home theater. There seems to be a problem, there is like 1 pixel in the middle of the screen that seems to be out of order lol. It’s right in the middle of the screen and it looks like it’s twinkling or sparkling not sure what’s wrong.Took out the bulb, put it back in,unplugged everything let it sit..plugged it back in and it’s the same problem. It comes and goes, sometimes it’s there sometimes it’s not..its REALLY distracting when it is there though. What could be wrong? is it just a bad pixel? is it a major repair?

thanks.

As the little girl whispers in the TV commercial, “It’s the mirrors.”

It sounds to me like one of your mirrors isn’t reponding properly. This would probably necessitate the replacement of a DLP chip.
